54-2165 On display at AAM Duxford. Serving in Vietnam from 1964-71, F-100s were not found suitable over heavily defended N. Vietnam and were assigned to the fighter-bomber role in-country. They flew more missions than the P-51 in World War II. The F-100D was the most widely built model, with over 1200 being produced. Heavily modified in service, the Hun suffered many accidents throughout its career. Tailcode VM belongs to 352 TFS (Yellow Jackets) at Phan Rang AB. (mehr von 54-2165)
