D-IMTT 'Tango Tango' is pictured here during it's first ever take off roll from German soil. It has been built by the guys in the States and was carried by a CX 747F to LUX and by truck to Manching, where it has been put together and flown for the first time on this day. A job well done by all the people involved! (mehr von D-IMTT)
D-IMTT A milestone in German aviation history: After more than 60 years the famous Messerschmidt Me-262 made its maiden flight from German soil today! Everything went smoothly and it did two approaches into Manching. I was very happy to witness this first flight from German soil. It's first public appearance is scheduled to be at the ILA 2006 in Berlin. Go for it, Turbo Me! (mehr von D-IMTT)
N792AS Another first for pp.net: Alaska Airlines brought the world’s largest king salmon - stretching 120 feet and weighing in at 140,000 pound - into town. The “Salmon-Thirty-Salmon,” sporting the glimmering image of a wild Alaska king salmon, is among the world’s most intricately painted commercial airplanes. Complete with shiny scales, a dorsal fin and gills, the livery on the Alaska 737 pax aircraft is the result of a dedicated team of 30 painters working nearly nonstop for 24 days. (mehr von N792AS)

58-1005 I was happy to spot the Blue & White check markings on the nose, they are representing the colours of my home state, Bavaria in Germany where once 'Tired Dude' was based. During its active duty, the Mojave was the largest and fastest helicopter in the western world. Retractable landing gear and clamshell doors in the nose were among its features not usually found in helicopters. An amazing piece of aviation history stored in the Pima Air + Space Museum.
