9056 Only surviving Sparrowhawk of eight built to serve with airships USS Akron and USS Macon, this aircraft was restored to represent the time when airships acted as flying aircraft carriers. To recover, the pilot approached the airship slightly above stall speed and used the overhead hook to attach onto a trapeze. Hence the insignia "Men on the Flying Trapeze", visible on the fuselage.
